GHOST HUNT AT THE FALSTAFFS EXPERIENCE

Discover over 800 years of history. In the heart of Stratford Upon Avon “The Shrieve's House “ now a museum, dates back to the 16th century, although a dwelling has stood on this spot since 1196.The museum depicting the property's sometimes chilling history, was originally inhabited by an archer to King Henry VIII, namely William Shrieve
In the 16th century it was a tavern whose keeper, William Rogers, is said to have inspired Shakespeare's famous comic character Falstaff. There is documentation suggestiong that his family had strong connections with Shakespeare. In the following century it played host to wounded soldiers brought back to the building after the first battle of the English Civil War.
