I just love this place and could move in and live there its such a lovely house and its one that Kev enjoyed looking around just as much as me because this house was built for Lord William Armstrong and was the first house in Britain to have electricity which was provided by its own hydro electricity generators. It was the first to have a telephone and it even had a dishwasher and lift. Appart from it being interesting its just a lovely house which I cant wait to go back and see again.

I just love this building it has fab tiles and stained glass and lovely carved wood etc. The history of the building from a social front is interesting as well. You may have seen this on the show Restoration it won the first series. Wish they would put this show back on tv and therefore save some other much loved buildings. Anyway here is a link if you scrol over the plan and click it will show you some fab pictures and information etc. The Baths even had its own 4 bedroom flat for the pool ...

If you ever see a small tubby irish woman at the foot of this building stroking the walls with love you will know you have me in your sights

seriously though this is my all time favourite building and I dont think anything will ever make me change my mind on that, one day I have promised myself I will ride in the beautiful elevator, look out onto the eagles and stand in awe of its beauty

Not quite in the same class as the classical built buildings in Britain, two buildings I do love are Art Deco style.

Sadly one is no longer with us, the lovely Firestone building on the Great West Road approaching Chiswick.

I fond childhood memories of driving up from the West country or Hampshire, to see a Great Aunt and seeing this building all lit up, it used to have a sleigh filled with presents on the lawn and reindeer and santa waving.

Despite having a preservation order coming to ...

I will never forget the first time I went to the Natural History Museum in London it was breathtaking. My two boys were young so we did not get to see much of the place or the exhibits but this is one place along with the Victoria and Albert Museum that I want to go back and see. The building alone is amazing and thats without its contents. Here is a link with the history and lots of pictures.

What can I say about St. Georges Chapel I could be here all day and bore the pants off you. To say its a wonder is an understament. The history is amazing from the burrials of Henry VIII to the Queen Mum. Here are some pictures of this wonderfull place the fan vaulting is just out of this world and one of the best examples of fan vaulting anywhere in the world.

I have also included two tombs as they are works of art in there own right. If you ever get a chance to go to Windsor and the castle ...
