Was the Griffon cursed

Built to explore the Upper Great Lakes, this ship was unique, built by the Europeans to allow them to explore, it was crafted from the timbers of the trees on the shores of the Lakes.
Built in Upper Niagra, it saild on it's maiden voyage in 1679, only to disppear surrounded by stories.
