Being Human
Starts 25th Jan on BBC 3
Lenora Crichlow, Russell Tovey and Aidan Turner star as three twenty-something characters trying to live a normal social life, despite being a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire. They share a house in Totterdown, Bristol.
Mitchell played by Aidan Turner is a quiet, calm vampire working as a hospital orderly. He looks out for George, particularly around the full moon.
George, played by Russell Tovey, is less socially adept than Mitchell, despite his high IQ. After he became a werewolf, he left his family, job and fiancee, afraid of hurting them. He works alongside Mitchell as an orderly, unable to hold down a more permanent job due to his monthly transformations.
Annie, played byLenora Crichlow, haunts the flat she and her boyfriend lived in while she was alive, and is unwilling to leave it.

Re: Being Human
I watched this and am not sure if its my cup of tea yet will give it a few more goes but it was great seeing parts of Bristol I know so well the shot of the outside of the hospital is the General Hospital its very old and by the cut. Also you know when they are in the pub and then the girl dies outside that pub is The Rummer (see haunted pubs or it may be in the Bristol ghosts thread) the pub used to be a Berni Inn and shut down and was sadly left for years but now its been done up thank goodness its so old with masses of history and its haunted. That spooky lane has a very spooky church which is next door to the pub the other side is one of the oldest running markets in Bristol this is very near the Corn Exchange where they have what is known as The Nails where you get the saying paying on the Nail.

Re: Being Human
Well I watched it, and I don't know what to think. I thought it was going to be a comedy, you know because of the line up, so I was taken aback because it is suppose to be a drama.
It doesn't quite hit the mark for me at the moment. Perhaps it will grow but it is lacking when you compare it to US paranormal dramas.

Re: Being Human
I will watch it a few more times mainly for the Bristol locations etc and see how it goes. I dont watch a lot of paranormal drama because the men in my house start to groan etc
and my Sky+ planner gets so full with four of us wanting stuff taped etc. Saying that the one I would have loved to have watched was Supernatural because I heard great things about it but because I never watched from the start I did not bother. The one I loved and wish they would bring a new series out is Afterlife that was filmed in my part of Bristol.

Re: Being Human
I think this is why this series is not gelling with me, I really enjoyed Afterlife and thought it quite believable.
Mel, I have the other probelm, trying to encourage the girls not to watch paranormal programmes.
