That's a good site, it explains many of the stories and myths in nice layman terms.
What is interesting is the fact that it does point out that Catholic countries are more likely to believe in ghosts/spirits whereas Protestants have no truck with this sort of thing. Which could explain why when MH went to Holland most did not understand the concept of ghosthunting.
I've always felt those with Celtic (Scots, Irish, Welsh, Cornish and Breton) connections in their families are more prone to belief because the folklore of the Celts is full of stories of ghosts/faires and the such.
