Re: witch emblem
This place is just up the road from where I used to live and I know it quite well and Warboys is quite proud of its witchcraft connection I think that the witches were ducked in the pond or hung by the pond which is in the centre of the village. My friend used to live in a old pub which was converted to a house before they went to live in Australia.
Dan have you been yet to The Ferryboat Inn?

Re: witch emblem
Do you think this is a case of pc gone mad? Or perhaps some who have moved into the area wanting their own way regardless of the history of the place?
What harm is the embelm doing? It has been associated with the scool for so long. I think that they should look to the teaching methods at the school. The school my youngest attends, was before she started under special measures, they got a terrific head in and she changed the school around in a couple of terms. Unfortunately she moved just after my youngest started there, and the school has started to slip.
If they are not getting good results, and are not attracting high calibre teachers then it is not the logos fault.

Re: witch emblem
It is getting ridiculous when kids can't sing BAA BA BLACK SHEEP.
My youngest was told not to sing it because it was racialist.
Obviously they haven't realised you do get Black sheep!
My neice asked us to take up a large slab of her wedding cake to let her great Grannie have some and to pass it around the care home, as she knows they often share cakes.
We duly carted it up there, only to be told by my gran that when she asked could the cake be disturbuted amongst the other residents was informed they are not allowed to do this now because of Health and Safety.

Re: witch emblem
what is just as silly, is that if you offered the residents the cake from yourself, and not ask the home to distribute it, then that would be ok i presume. its all madness. i think its the same reason why its not allowed in my local pub for the landlord to put roast potatoes, peanuts etc on the bar for us to dip into. Health and safety reasons again.

Re: witch emblem
Oh for gods sake! It's an emblem ffs not a statement of what's taught at the school. These idiots that are kicking up such a fuss over it should visit a library once in a while and look up what the emblem means instead of being so stupid. Do they really think it's a real life Hogwarts?

It's just behind the pen where they keep the magical beasts, beside the glass house used for herbology.
