Tarot Cards Empty Tarot Cards

Do you think that a pack of cards can really predict your future or give answers to questions that you have.
I will start this one off with a few more questions that i would like to ask. I have never had a reading so i cant speak from experience, although i know people who have and they say they have been quite impressed with what the cards have said. So is it the cards that are supposed to have the power to see or is it the persons ability to read them that matters. Also if i had two readings on the same day by two different people, should they both say the same thing ?
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had the tarot experience either good or bad.

Tarot Cards Empty Re: Tarot Cards

Well I have had my cards done twice. The first time was in December 1983 and she told me that the relationship I was in was going nowhere and we would finish by the end of December and I would find my future husband in the January (I thought she was completely wrong and just thought what a load of rubbish) she also told me a few other things which ALL came true. Now I did finish the relationship and I did meet my future oh on January 10th. Now I went to see her the following year and she told me that I would wear two wedding rings in my lifetime this reallly upset me for years and years and played on my mind but the strange thing is that when I was expecting my youngest I had to take my ring off and have it made bigger and it must have had a weekness after that because a few years later is snapped and so I had to have a new wedding ring. She also told me to be very carefull over a key again this played on my mind and later we had so many problems when we went to sale our first home that I wonder if this was it I have now learned that there is no way I would ever have one done again I would love to see a medium and have contact with my family members from the other side but I do not want to know what is in my future. Because she got so much right it made me worry about the other stuff for years and years its just not worth it.

Tarot Cards Empty Re: Tarot Cards

Years ago, when I was a teenager, someone I worked with read my cards. It was not pleasant, but as far as I am aware, it did not come true although one thing nearly did.

I have had my cards read by a medium we know, but she did not use tarot cards but angel cards and did not look at me when she read me, but had her back to me. She did come out with things that I had not told anyone. Now I knew this medium quite well and she me, but I have to say in all honesty I had never mentioned what she came out with, to any one.

I think like all things Dan, your own common sense must avail. Only you can say whether or not when your cards are read if they are relevant to you. If two people read your cards in the same day, they would properly be different readings because of their interuptions.

Its because the cards rely on interpretation from the reader, i think the information they give is pretty meaningless, i appreciate that there will be times when things come true, but like you said Mags, you need to use your common to know if its just a lucky hit. To me Tarot is similar to having your tea leaves read.
Where a reader has got things spot on for people, i wonder if its because they are a better medium than they realise, and they are picking up on this and not the actual cards.

Someone once said to me that it is not the actual fact that a person 'reads' the tea leaves but interupts and uses them as a prop.
So the same could be said of the cards.

One family story that used to be told when I was young, was from the side of the family that were strictly Catholic and pooh poohed all belief and knowledge of the paranormal. My great Aunt, of whom I was very fond. Lived in South London, as various members of the family were in the Armed Forces, they would always call in on her before leaving for a posting. For some reason her b-i-l who was in the RAF, had to return to Britain whilst posted to Singapore. He spent the night before his return at her flat. She had sat down to have a cup of tea, (pre teabag days). She noticed after taking a sip that she had a tea leaf floating on the top, which was annoying enough, but it was in the shape on an airplane.
As it moved towards the side of the cup, one of the 'wings' touched the side and broke off. She wondered if her b-i-l had arrived safely (early 60's so no instant communication). Thought no more off it, until a week later, receiving a letter from her sister saying that she had to be brief as Jimmy (my great uncle) was in hospital. When the plane came into land, the wing had hit something and broken off. He had cut his head and would have a scar but was not badly hurt.
Now I am not aware of there being any other tea leaf reading episodes, because I was always shooed out of the room when they realised I was listening as a child. But it turns out both her daughters saw something in my home when they came to visit, yet being teenagers denied it at the time. One has a grandson who is showing medium tendencies even though he is very young. So perhaps, my great aunt and her family have a little pyshic power and that is what she was doing when she 'read' the tealeaf.

Another woman I worked with knew of my interest in the paranormal read my tea leaves before we left BA. Her reading was quite general but one or two things were relevant to my life but I suppose you could say that about most things.

Interesting but like I say I would not want to know what is in my future it just plays on your mind to much etc. Mags I feel that your whole family is very psychic.

Do you know Mel, I am beginning to wonder about it. I never realised, simply because my gran (Dad's mum) was so against it. I would have thought all her family was, but this was her sister.
