Baltimore Edgar Allan Poe

Post  magssdoc on Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:39 am

It is said that Edgar Allan Poe, the writer of macbre stories and The Raven, is said to haunt the halls of the hospital where he died in Baltimore Maryland.
Poe had gone to Baltimore to attend a friend's birthday party.
He is said to have taken one drink then left the party, only to be found five days later, wearing clothes that did not belong to him.
He was taken to the hospital where he died three days later on October 8th.

The ghost of a man wearing a dark suit has been seen wandering the streets that Poe walked when alive.
His former home is now a museum dedicated to him, and is said to be haunted by his grandmother.

Poe himself, is said to haunt his gravesite. Leaving three red roses, as this has continued it seems unlikely to be his ghost.

Although during the Baltimore Riots that followed the assignation of Dr Martin Luther King in 1968, the whole area was plunged into darkness yet lights were seen in the Poe house. They were seen to flicker even though the whole area was still in darkness.
