The Mothman Sightings
In November 1966 two couples from Point Pleasant in West Virginia, USA were driving along when they saw red glowing eyes and were shocked to see a huge creature about 7ft tall and shaped like a man with big moth like wings. A 100 more sightings were reported over the next year and the creature was named Mothman. Soon strange things started to happen animals were found dead. On 15th December 1967 the town’s Silver Bridge collapsed during rush hour killing 46 people. One explanation for the bridge collaspe was metal fatigue but many in the town said it was because of the Mothman and even to this day the strange events are unexplained. Later a film called the Mothman Prophecies was made of the events in Point Pleasant.
