Re: Time Slips
There is another case that I love its on this forum somewhere I am sure I put it on. Its of a man who went into a stationary shop I think to buy some envelopes and it was very old fashioned and he got his envelopes and they were a bargin so much so that when he next was in that location he went to buy somemore only to find the shop was not there and that it had not be a stationers for years and that the envelopes were no longer made (this is from memory so some of the facts may be wrong will have to find the thread
Mags looking forward to hearing about CJ and what happened etc.
Do you remember me talking to that manager of that haunted shop he had a time slip on a motorway he was driving along and all of a sudden he was driving on grass and could see a farm and no mototorway and then it changed back he did some research and sure enough a farm did exist at that spot etc.

Re: Time Slips
No Mel I can't remember you telling us about that man in his car, I think you posted the other story on GHG.
I've had a look for CJ.23 story, it's been removed from Youtube.
But it is called Ghost Hunters Ripples in Time, you may be able to catch it on a repeat. It's an excellent series, not to be confused with the American one.

Re: Time Slips
Just been reading a good book on ghosts and come to a section I am interested in i.e. Time Slips. Its says that some ghost reports could be time slips. The stories where people say that the suroundings change etc. It says that sometimes windows can open up between the two times so what we think of is a ghost is not and in fact that ghost we see is maybe viewing us as a ghost complete with are modern settings etc its does make you think.
Found a story of a time slip.
Cottages from long ago
In 1968 in Wallington Surrey a Mr. Chase was catching a bus and just generaly looking around him when he saw two small cottages with lovely thatched roofs with a date on the house showing 1837. Some time later he was talking to a man who lived near the cottages and mentioned them only to be told there was only two brick houses. Mr. Chase went to take a look for himself only to find that yes there were only two brick houses and no picture postcard thatched cottages. After doing some more research he found that in fact there were two thatched cottages but that they had been demolished years before.

Re: Time Slips
He does a series on books about Liverpool and Hauntings, he used to write for a newspaper up that way and also broadcasts stories about ghosts.
I have his 'Walking Ghost tour' book of Liverpool.
Apparently he mentioned that he would do a walking ghost tour of Liverpool on a certain night expecting about ten people to turn up and he had nearly 200.
If you remember Dora the Explorer who used to go on mh she mentioned his books.

Re: Time Slips
If ever we get to Liverpool together, perhaps we could do a bit of the walking tour, or at least as much as the two of us can manage
We really need two old foogies with a bad back and a walking stick smilie don't we?

Re: Time Slips
yes we need one of those smilies Mags. Going on a walking tour with you would be great as we could go at very slow pace
As for Liverpool boy I would love to go there I have never been its one place I always wanted to go to along with Glasgow and both are very haunted.
