Georgetown Castle was built in approximately 1903 by Peter Gessner, in attempt to escape harrassment for his gambling and prostituion business from the law of Seattle.
The large house was turned into a gambling den that had prostitutes on the premises.
Despite avoiding proscution by the move, Peter Gessner committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid.

The house was eventually bought and turned into a sort of hospital for those suffering from tb.
It said to be haunted by a woman in black.
