The Haunted Mansion Disneyland USA
The REAL Ghosts in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion
Every day tourists pass threw the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland.
Walt Disney in the 1950's first thought about an ideal of a walk through haunted house. Work began on the Haunted House but was halted in 1966 when Walt Disney died. As Walt Disney had not finished the plans for the Haunted House the designers did not know how to commence so it was left untill it was finally opened in 1969.
Near the Haunted House in the 1940s a construction worker was killed also a man died in a plan crash in the lake nearby. Its his ghost that has been seen in the Haunted Mansion. The ghost of the man is seen with a cane walking around after closing time. No one knows for sure who the ghost is but many staff have seen it and one female worker quit her job after a scare from the ghost.
The saddest story is of a mother who wanted to scatter her sons ashes inside the Haunted Mansion but was refused permission to do so by the Disney Corporation. It is said she did so anyway and as this was not her late sons wish the ghost of a young boy is seen crying near to the exit.
It is also said that a young man died in the Haunted House when he got out of the ride and stepped out onto a walkway that was next to the tracks and fell fifteen feet to the floor, breaking his neck.
So if you ever go to Disneyland's Haunted House you may see a real ghost.

I have only been to the Florida one. The one in California looks fab and thats the haunted one with the story I believe. Its funny you should say that about the myth about Walt Disney being burried under the house. I read very quickly something today about this. It went on to say he was cremated and his ashes were scatered.

Nads, it was closed for a while to be refurbished, my family nearly had a riot when we went and they had closed Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Bears Jamboree for refurbishment.
